About TaxiDiaspora

Millions of people live and work far from home, and every day someone needs a seat, a parcel delivered or a car moved between two countries. For years these trips have been arranged through Facebook groups, ads and phone numbers passed from person to person. It works, but it is hard to know who you are travelling with, what a fair price is and what happens if something goes wrong.

TaxiDiaspora brings these trips into one place. The customer posts a free request — where from, where to, when and what — and carriers who already drive that route send offers. The customer compares price, reviews and vehicle, and chooses.

What we transport

• Passengers — seats in minibuses and cars on regular trips between cities and countries anywhere in the world.
• Parcels — packages, luggage and goods for family and friends, collected from your address.
• Cars on a trailer — vehicles moved on a car transporter or trailer.
• Everything else — furniture, animals, freight and special transport, with carriers equipped for it.

How we work

• Carriers have a public profile with the areas they cover, their vehicle, the languages they speak and the reviews customers leave after every trip.
• Payment can go through escrow in the app: the money reaches the carrier once the trip is completed.
• During the trip, the customer and their family can follow the position by GPS and talk to the driver by chat.

Where we are

TaxiDiaspora is in beta. The available transport directory and the route pages are public; some features of the app are still being tested and we are opening them gradually.
